Demon´s Souls on PS5:
Beautifully, immersively, frustratingly, engagingly difficult
Advantages of Demon´s Souls on PS5
On PS5 Demon´s Souls takes advantage of the consoles capabilities. For instance immersion is taken to new heights through the DualSense controller.
Haptics
The haptic feedback adaptive triggers pair with the 3D audio in superb fashion. It’s one thing to watch as your character lunges towards the big hulking monsters, it’s another to hear and feel the difference. Every strike and spell blast feel instantly recognizable, while even the creaking of a chain-operated elevator or the pattering of rain add to the overall immersion. It really has to be felt to be understood but haptics in the Dualsense controller enhances the Demons Souls experience White uniquely.
Graphics
Demons Souls was originally developer for PS3 in 2009, and remade as a PS5 launch title. As you would expect, the remake has taken the original graphics and cranked it up to an eleven – it really shows what the PS5 are capable of. Beutiful textures makes ruins fejl like ruins and not just geometric shapes. The remake is as Dark and Gloomy as the original, but also makes use of bright lights, which adds to the atmosphere, but if you are a fan of the original, this does take some time to get use to.

In terms of framerate and revolution, the game offers two options, a true 4K/30fps Cinematic Mode, and 1440p upscaled to 4K/60fps Performance mode. In perfomance mode PS5 rock solidly maintains 60 fps and above at all times. In other words, everything runs supersmooth, when playing Demon´s Souls on PS5 – maximising the immersion compared to other consoles and PC.
